the arthobler gallery was founded in 2001 and started its activities in the rua miguel bombarda 624 in Oporto. we represent national and international contemporary artists who are working in a wide range of media, from drawing, painting, sculpture, photography and installation to video and new media art. as part of our strategy, we focus on artists whose works in an individual and critical language reflect the contemporary spirit and are stimulating and encouraging reflections on the experience and perception of our time.

we care to maintain a close collaboration with the artists and present their works continuously in individual exhibitions, publications and art fairs. The gallery program includes about six exhibitions of national and international artists per year in each gallery and hopes to surprise with interesting projects of several origins, techniques and materials.

apart from presenting the work of recognized artists, it is important for us to discover and promote young and unknown artists and to maintain an exchange of individual exhibitions with international galleries.
